TAKING NCLEX

I took my boards
(which I have since found out I passed)
Woot

They were on a Saturday.
Taylor took me out to lunch to try a new burger place called "Relish"
--sister company to our favv Famous Burrito

We were impressed.

We also stopped at Lowe's to get details on a DIY project I want to start (details to come)
Meandered through BestBuy

Annnnd, grocery shopped.

Happy NCLEX days are over.

Three Years and Countttting..

For our 3rd Anniversary,

We celebrated with ease..After our holla-cation, we needed some respite from the respite.

I can't remember, but I might have been ill/studying for the NCLEX.
Taylor has an insane Wednesday school schedule.
Our anny was on a Wednesday.

Taylor made a delic-dinner,
Bought me lovely flowers and I made him a small surprise.

We ate dinner, and I think we got half-off Sonic shakes at 8p
(I got a chocolate covered banana, and Taylor chose a slush)

We love annnnnyys.

Last First!

Hip-Hip-Hurray!

Taylor celebrated his LAST FIRST day of law school this year.
Wootwoot!

What a stud.

We're so excited.

Water Slides

I failed to mention the water slides that were on our cruise ship.

Taylor loved them.

I enjoyed them too.

Ch-Check out our action shots; they make me so happy.

The ship also had a deck called "Serenity" which Taylor and I just called "Serenity Now"
It was a no-kid zone...which just meant it had more sun chairs available at night.
We loved it!
Not so much the mediocre, and overcrowded hot tub.
But the sun chairs,
They.were.comfortable.

Stirrup Cay Nature Hike

One of our days was a bit overcast and we opted for a nature hike around the island...

What sights we saw!

I loved every second.

Stirrup Cay was one of the island spots owned by Carnival
They ferried us from the cruise line to the island port on mini-ferries

When it was time to leave at the end of the day, we all had to funnel into lines to catch the last rides back to the ship..

It.was.so.hot.
I have never in my life been as hot as I was then, waiting for the ferry, in a hopelessly long line.

PS I forgot to add Taylor found a sting ray...and then decided to pursue it into the depths of the sea.
I was afraid we'd have a Steve Irwin incident so I kindly suggested we lay low.

Happy Bahamamama days.

Bahhhhhaaammaa

Did I mention my man got us a window view for our cruise?!

We were quite proud of it.
Not.even.lying.

It was beautiful.

On a side note, we should mention our favorite station on our television was the Stat Station
It told us how many ridiculous pounds of butter, oil, potatoes, and cabbage the ship used in a day.
It would blow your mind.

On a positive note, this tour neither one of us got ill.
Not one bit.

We didn't ride the elevator once on the ship.

A few rooms down in our neighboring corridor someone's septic system must have exploded, spewing nightmarish portions of nobodywantstoknowwhat
...because the hallway smelled atrocious.
Gag worthy.

However,
thankfully our room was spared.

Thankfully.

Bahmamamama

Ferdinand our dinner server sang to us for our annny.
Memorable.

We participated in "Sea Feud"-a cruise-line version of Family Feud,
which Taylor and I had on lockdown.
However, the hostess was not quite impressed with our eagerness and knack for sticking to the rules
(Sheesh lady, don't help the other team out.)

We also played "Match Game" and watched the live Hasboro Show.

Piano Bar nights with Milburn were a fav.
What a talented pianist.
Who doesn't love shouting along with Bon Jovi classics?!
"Tommmy used to work on the doooooccckkks"

I seriously wanted to participate in the Newlywed Game, bad. I mean baaaad.
Alas, we were late as of our competition in Sea Feud but what we caught was a HOOOT.
I loved it.
We totally would have lost.
But man oh man, everyone should play/watch/live the Newlywed game.
atleastonce

One night for karaoke extravaganza, Taylor Dalby the suave man that he is bought me a drink.
I have no idea what kind of crazy delicious smoothie it was, but I fell in love.

We celebrated our anny with smoothies and a bag of gourmet candy from the cruise.
Not bad. Not bad at all.

Bahama Mama ...

In Freeport:

  • We played volleyball with strangers. What a workout and a blast!
  •  Would do it again a million times over
We drank REAL coconut water macheteed right before us

  • Rented an umbrella for $5 and it came with a kayak (which we didn't use)
  • Found Patrick the starfish

FOOD
The cruise fed us so we didn't spend any money on food
 at.all really.
We packed out beach snacks
(refer to Go-go squeeze)
We bought water.
And loved life.

Now, I just want to review some of the amazing dishes we experienced.
(so I don't forget)
Food was the best part, minus the beaches.

VEGGIE ENCHILADAS
(I skipped dessert for an additional serving.so.so.good)
Or did I end up eating dessert too?
Maybe I just didn't get two desserts like I had been doing.
i can't seem to remember

Mahi-mahi, cheese and fruit trays
escargot, lobster, beef shoulder

Did we mention we shared a dinner table once?
We don't usually opt for the adventure, but I wanted a window seat in the dining room and the only way to procure one was if we were willing to share.
I said yes. Taylor agreed.
It was funsies.
What great people we met.
They were from Florida also

BahamaMamas

For graduation/anniversary/Christmas/every holiday for the next long while,

Taylor Dalby got us tickets for a Bahamas Cruise.

Let's just say we had a rough summer
What with insane clinical schedules, Taylor in H-town, and me flying solo in Gainesville,
It was r.o.u.g.h.

So a vacay was definitely in order prior to Taylor starting his last year in law school (WootWoot!)

so.stinkin.awesome.
everything.

Below is a hobblejobble of random pics and experiences to commemorate our lovely holla-cation!

Karaoke-
Otis Redding-Sittin' on the Dock
Yes I participated, and yes it was fabulous.
No, no, not me but all the songs and the crazy great people.
Who doesn't love KARAOKE.

We even witnessed a semi-sober proposal occur during karaoke celebrations.
Let's just say it was a night to remember.

Cabbage Beach.
Best beach of all beaches.
Take a taxi don't take the "ferry"
Clear BLUE BLUE water. Perfect temperature.
Sand that slips over your toes like silk.
We rented an umbrella for the afternoon and just melted into a heavenly bliss.
The only downside was worrying about our bags.
We had to take turns doing our dolphin dives, but all-in-all.
Favorite.BEACH.place.

Go-Go Squeeze
I'm hooked. Completely addicted
Before we left we went to Walmart to stock up on some beach snacks to take with us
I chose a new treat: mini to-go applesauce packets
(presumably for infants but we don't discriminate)
100% real fruit, no preservatives, all natural
100% my vote.all the time.every time.
Buy them now. Do it. Go.
AppleBerry is our flavor of choice, but you can choose what suits your fancy
