RN Dalby and Days off

So it looks like I am becoming an RN...that's right, RN Dalby...which could lead to a PhD in Nursing, but as of right now it's more of an accerlerated BSN degree, which I intend to get in a year-and a half. That's right. I have high hopes.

I have dreams of working with pediatrics. I remember discussing muscle groups and their functions over the dinner table when I was 7... that's what happens when your mom is a chiropractor. One of my first "big" words was subluxation, and Josh's was contustion. Get the picture?

Mom teaches us by example. She is an incredible chiropractor, who can heal, nurture, and love, with the best of care. She's intelligent and talented, and I could dare to dream to be half' of that in my profession.

That's her. Yano, the stellar one on the Right, with perhaps the most intelligent 12 year-old you'll ever meet.

I want to be a pediatric nurse practitioner. I want to be there to immunize your babies when they first come in and I want to see them through to high school.  I want to educate children on how to care for their body, mind's, and spirits.. and I especially want to teach them how to "help themselves." I believe that education is key in health prevention. So, let me help you, help yourself.

P.S. When I'm older and Taylor and I are ready to serve missions, I want to do a service one..yano? The kind that lets me use this wealth of knowledge for some greater good.

I want to have the opportunity to travel during national disasters and be there to provide aid and care.
I also want babies that I can save//prevent from losing limbs seeing as my husband has a tendency to cut fingers...I have to prepare myself.

Side note, I have a few days off because my fam went on vacay. So my car decided to kill itself.

Convenient huh?

But as horrible as the experience may have been, it could have been a million times worse, have I told you I am grateful for loving husbands, fab uncles, honest mechanics, and helpful strangers. It pays to be nice to people. No joke.

The world could use a little more friendlies and a lot less grumps..but from my perspective, we're doing alright.

Oh, and fuego survived a resucitation. Hurray!
