Temple fun with the Blay's

We have this couple in our ward who are practically our twins.

Meet the Blay's.

Everyone gets us confused because...basically:

We're all from the West Coast... our husbands are in law school.. we're both going in the same nursing program.. we all have the same life plan.. and we're blonde, young, married, etc

So, needless to say, we became temple travelling buddies.
Here is our latest temple pic. Because we had travel buddies we didn't need to take a picture of ourselves, by ourselves. ha. What a relief!

FRANKENOVEN

so i have this FUNFETTI -obsession. really. it's true. and this die-hard dream to be a CUPCAKE decorator.
Anyhoo, as of late our oven has been on the fritz. now known as "frankenoven"-rightfully so.

It's cooking time/temp/anything and everything are completely wrong and off and you have no idea what the darn thing is doing until it's too late and all of your fabulously piped cupcakes are incinerated to a blackened crisp.

But, on an up note! I did pipe some super cute cupcakes ...later on..for a friend, Meghan's bday bash, that looked fabulous (and i didn't take a pic! curses!) just imagine they were the best darn pink funfetti cupcakes you'd ever seen!

Anyway,

I had a super-uber fabulous birthday with my hubs. I had a wonderful Thursday off (thank you supervisor Jess. you're an angel)...I relaxed, got all dressed up and ate a classy dinner with my boo at the FAT TUSCAN.

Shout out to FAT TUSCAN, ohmygoodness. you stole my heart. cute lil' backyard, hold-in-the-wall authentic italian eatery.. with tiki lights, a fountain, and an elegant ambiance. thank heavens for living in florida where eating outside in january is possible!

Following dinner, we came home, ate a wonderful publix cake and opened presents. which i do so very much love = )

tops.hair straightners (thankyou georgia).gift cards (thank you momma) and everything else fabulous!

Ohmygoodness. i totally forgot i ALSO went to the zoo.

did you know the community college here has a ZOO!?

seriously. and it is completely legit with alligators and all. Go florida!
Anyway, gal pal Cal and I went for free with our student id's
We had fun! oodling all the crazy animals...

..except for the part where the turtles were getting frisky. awkward.

and then that weekend, we had a game night bash with all the besties! ohhwhat a lovely
merryhappyjulianuarymonthiversarybirthday.

And I knew there was a reason...

that I didn't drink soda. (yano, the occasional.) but imma put a stop to it.

Girl, you had us wrapped around your finger from the start!
Those big brown eyes, everyone said you had mom's. And they are gorgeous.


You crack me up. You are so darn funny! You have the cutest personality of any little girl. 
Did you know, when you were born you were so itty-bitty, we could have put you in dolly clothes!


You are witty and bright, and you can make just about anyone laugh...and you don't even have to say anything, you just make those crazy Kandi-kane faces!

You loved Dora. Absolutely adored Dora the Explorer.  You had Dora everything...and Hello Kitty! 

You are an unbelievably talented artist, always coloring and painting and making projects!  I love putting your pictures up--they're always so creative. Your BEAR picture has been on our fridge since we've been married. WE LOVE IT!

I don't know how you do it, but you have ALWAYS been the BEST sleeper. ALWAYS. Girl, lightening could strike and you wouldn't hear a thing.  We can be in the car for 2 minutes and then you're passed out.  I wish I had your ability to sleep....and oh my, if we wake you up too early! 

You can be one grumpy grump, but once you get your rest, you are the SWEETEST THING in the world! We never had to worry about you going down for a nap... we'd just find you passed out somewhere all snuggled up.

You are so thoughtful and loving.  You give the best huggies around! Whenever anyone is sad or upset, you say just the right things!  We keep your little bear you gave us for Christmas! We love it too; it always makes us think of you!

I just love you to pieces! You don't forget that, missy! You are beautiful and fun to be around!
